Peterhead Scottish Week – Best of Buchan Awards

We were delighted to sponsor this year’s Best of Buchan Awards, which were held during the Peterhead Scottish Week, recognising people and businesses in the area that have had a positive impact on their community.

The Buchan Offshore Wind team, represented by Alasdair MacLeod, Project Director, and Adam Hollis, Supply Chain Manager, handed out the Green/Sustainability Champion of the Year Award to Pick Up Peterhead, a litter picking and awareness group that aims to keep the community clean and safe from the dangers of things, such as discarded plastics, metals, and fabrics.

Other nominees for the award included the East Grampian Coastal Partnership, who coordinate beach cleans from Montrose to Fraserburgh, as well as Peterhead based offshore supplier ASCO.
